teaching mentorship

Let’s face it, 200 hours of study barely scratches the surface of the depth of wisdom the yoga practice has to offer us. Quite often newly-minted yoga instructors leave their first training feeling unsure of the next step on their path and underprepared for the world of teaching yoga. One-on-one mentorship can help close the gap between where you are and where you want to be.

what to expect

During this mentorship, we’ll identify your strengths and areas for growth as you build confidence to deliver high-quality yoga classes that feel like you. Each mentorship is a little different and tailored to your unique needs and goals, but some common areas of support include:

  • Refine your cuing through clear and kind language

  • Apply trauma-informed and adaptive yoga frameworks to make your classes more inclusive and accessible

  • Receive individualized feedback on your teaching

  • Learn to build an intelligent sequence

  • Develop your teaching voice and point of view

Scheduling is flexible and personalized to your availability, generally we start with a four-session package and if you decide you’d like continued support or more in-depth skill-building we’ll work together to develop a program that suits your needs.

  • Carly’s mentorship as an addition to my 200hr YTT was pivotal in finding my voice as a yoga teacher. Her years of experience as a yoga facilitator came through in her thoughtful, detail-oriented feedback and allowed me to gain confidence in my practice, and therefore my teaching. I highly recommend Carly for her practical knowledge of physiology and the way she can break down a series of asanas and build them back into a more aware and cohesive series. Her approach to trauma-informed yoga instruction shows her passion for using yoga as a method of resiliency. I suggest hiring Carly as you move through your yoga teacher training!
